In case you’ve read stories in newspapers about Raju Hirani locking himself up in the basement of his house, editing and finalising his upcoming venture, PK, you are in for a surprise. The filmmaker isnt doing any of that. A source close to the project informed that the film is currently being mixed at a professional Dolby approved studio and has already been edited. “So, theres no reason for anyone to work from basements. The film has been edited at a professional setup, and the basement stories are baseless,” says a source close to the project.
Rumour has it that Resul Pookutty, who's responsible for the films sound, has delayed the film and now the editors and technicians are working doubly hard to meet the fast approaching deadline. According to a leading trade weekly, he was handed the edited first half of the film many months ago, but chose to complete his other assignments instead. As a result, now that the second half is also edited and ready for the next level of technical enhancements, Resul is still working on the first half.
Point this, and the source says, Thats all nonsense going around. Its a special film and Resul and his team wanted to take their own sweet time to work on it and finish it. As of now, they are one month ahead of their target. They will be done much before their deadline.
